Valerie joined the AMC team in 2017 and currently serves on the management team. Valerie has 20 years’ experience working with nonprofit organizations and has served in leadership, consultative and volunteer roles. She enjoys working across a wide range of issue areas and has a passion for helping nonprofit organizations secure funding and advance their missions. As Deputy Director of MAPS, she led the organization through a growth period as they transitioned from a start-up with 3 employees to a thriving international organization with over 50 team members. Valerie has a Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Certifications in Organizational Dynamics and Integrated Skills for Sustainable Change, is a certified mediator, and is a member of the Grant Professionals Association.
